Intimidator is the thirteenth roller coaster installed at Carowinds and is located on the site of the former Carowinds River Adventure near the entrance of the theme park. It is an Intamin giga coaster, the second in North America. I-305 has lots of rapid twists and turns. Intimidator is an engineering marvel most will enjoy, while 305 is an extreme machine for the thrillseeker.
Here is my review of the two coasters. Discuss anything related to theme parks in general. Both have the same theme but are completely different rides.
Millennium Force is a longer, more-complete roller coaster. Millennium Force has some solid hills and air time. We’ll look at Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion (Doswell, VA) and Intimidator at Carowinds (Charlotte, NC). It will have just about everything I like in a coaster - a great first drop, sustained speed, tight turns, airtime, positive Gs, a low to the ground layout, high speed turns, and LATS! Intimidator 305 follows up with a few more quick-change banking elements. Carowinds Intimidator will be an amazing coaster. Now, Carowinds was left as the lone eastern Cedar Fair park without an at-least-200-footer. So its possible that they change the Carowinds to Centurion and change I 305 to shorten the name to I305 and remove the intimidator part. You might of been looking for Intimidator at Carowinds. My all-time favorite is Apollos Chariot and all B&M hypers have the same, great airtime and the same, industry-best restraints.
