Con un’origine risalente a circa 3000 anni fa, le launeddas sono uno strumento musicale a fiato portatore di suggestioni e contaminazioni tra le sponde del Mediterraneo. Il documentario ritrae cinque talenti della nuova generazione di suonatori di launeddas e attraverso il loro sguardo esplora gli interstizi tra folklorismo ed etnicità, tradizione e sperimentazione, identità e globalizzazione.

Launeddas are 3000 –year old wind instruments which carry suggestions and contamination among the Mediterranean banks. The documentary portrays five talented persons belonging to a new generation of launeddas players and through their eyes, explores the interstices between folklorism and ethnicity, tradition and experimentation, identity and globalization.
